MiniLuxe’s service director Donna Charloff outlines the dominant chrome and cat-eye finishes, the rise of mermaid-inspired designs, and the growing emphasis on healthy bare nails, while previewing the brand’s Dreamy Girl Nails campaign.

MiniLuxe Highlights Chrome, Cat-Eye and Bare-Nail Trends for 2026

MiniLuxe’s service and in-studio product director, Donna Charloff, shared insights from the brand’s nationwide studios on the nail aesthetics gaining traction in 2026. Across the chain, reflective finishes such as chrome and cat-eye remain the most requested, offering a dimensional look that feels both elevated and wearable. In addition, designs inspired by mermaid-core aesthetics and glazed, luminous surfaces are seeing strong demand, providing a subtle shine that still reads as sophisticated. ## Dreamy Girl Nails Campaign To translate these trends into ready-to-wear options, MiniLuxe launched its "Dreamy Girl Nails" 2026 campaign. The collection features three signature looks: "Lemon Glaze," a pale-yellow chrome manicure with a sun-kissed vibe; "Pearly Baby," an iridescent pink swirl that delivers a soft, glowing effect; and "Into the Blue," a cat-eye pearl manicure that captures the ocean’s shimmer. The three designs are available at all MiniLuxe locations through mid-August. ## The Bare-Nail Movement When asked about the growing bare-nail trend, Charloff emphasized that the most attractive bare nails are meticulously groomed. Key elements include clean cuticles, a refined nail shape, and a light buff or sheer finish that enhances rather than masks the natural nail. She highlighted the importance of professional nail care, regular cuticle oil application, and daily hand-cream use to keep nails strong, conditioned, and radiant. Charloff recommends keeping MiniLuxe’s EWG-certified cuticle oil on hand-whether on a desk, in a purse, or by the nightstand-to extend manicure life and maintain cuticle health. For portable hand care, she suggests the brand’s Hand Renewal Cream, which aims to keep hands bright, hydrated, and soft. ## Fall Outlook Looking ahead to the autumn season, Charloff predicts that the bare-nail trend will continue to gain momentum, with an increased focus on natural nail health and understated elegance. As cooler weather can lead to dryness, well-maintained nails with healthy cuticles and strong nail beds are expected to become a marker of both style and luxury. In parallel, she notes the rise of "quiet-luxury" neutrals-shades such as mushroom, taupe, and cocoa-that provide a polished, effortless appearance. The interview underscores MiniLuxe’s commitment to both trend-forward design and the health of the nail plate, positioning the brand as a guide for professionals and consumers navigating the evolving landscape of nail fashion in 2026.
